Course Overview

Housed within the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) is Canada’s largest organization for promoting and creating various math contests. The difficulty level of these contests are intermediate level and this prep course helps students grow logical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Pascal, Cayley and Fermat are designed to be accessible both to students who have participated in a math contest in the past and to those who haven’t, these multiple-choice contests can help learners build confidence and inspire them to get excited about math.
  • The Fryer, Galois and Hypatia:  These contests are a unique opportunity for students to write a full-solution contest — a format that can help learners develop both problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Gauss is a wonderful opportunity for all students of Gr 7 & 8  to grow their interest in and get curious about the power of math.
  • Doing well in Euclid can help gain admission to the Faculty of Mathematics Programme in University of Waterloo.
  • Designed for motivated students of national and international boards from Grade 7 to 12 to develop deeper understanding and application of pure math concepts.

  • Well structured curriculum with concept-based modules, quizzes, advanced problem solving, weekly assignments, mock test series of both past & authentic papers & doubt clarifications.

  • Collaborative & Encouraging approach to promote confidence to score top percentile results highlighted in our past results.

  • Individual journey tracked through continuous feedback on our internationally benchmarked virtual learning platform.

Who is it for?

Note: Qualification parameters for AIME have been modified in the year 2022. According to the new criteria, the AIME floor has been set to a higher percentage of scores that would allow a consistent number of AIME qualifiers, rather than a fixed percentage. AMC 10/ AMC 12 students who have achieved the set score value or higher qualify for the AIME.
