Yogesh Dhingra

Founder, Academic Advisor & Chief Instructor

Yogesh’s career in education spans three decades within national and international curricula as well as educational services. The latter half of her educational experience has been in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Her educational experiences encompass higher-level teaching in Mathematics, Theory of Knowledge, and Extended Essay initiatives.

Yogesh is a workshop Leader for IB Diploma Higher Level Math in Asia Pacific Region and specialises in mentoring schools in designing curriculum, strengthening their standards for IB and CIS evaluation and accreditation. IB Math underwent significant changes in 2019 and Yogesh is one of the few workshop leaders who has conducted workshops in Shanghai and India for both the new IB syllabus Math AA (Analysis and Approaches) and AI (Application and Interpretation)

She has been the Academic Director and the Head of Mathematics at DAIS from the time of its opening in 2002 until June 2016. In June 2016, Yogesh established CourseLeap Education, which offers unique, tailored solutions for schools and students.

Through CourseLeap Yogesh works as a consultant to various schools. She is currently an Advisory Board Member of Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Gurgaon. Yogesh’s efforts seek to develop critical thinking, and intellectually stimulating programs for students to fulfill their academic potential.

Ankush Jain

Consultant & Lead Instructor

Ankush has been mentoring and teaching students for (AMC, CEMC) and Advanced Placements (APs) for over 5 years now. He also takes courses for Programming Competitions (ZIO, INOI, Codechef tests etc). He is a Data Scientist by profession – working with a fast growing startup. He was also a Quantitative Associate with Morgan Stanley for 5 years. He holds a B.Tech. (Hons) degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay with Minors in School of Management. He placed IIT-Bombay in top 10 ranks at ACM-Inter College Programming Competition in 2010 at South-East Asia Level. He also secured All India Rank – 28 in the prestigious IIT-JEE exam in 2007. The same year he was awarded gold medals in Physics & Chemistry Olympiads. He was also invited to Orientation-cum-Selection Camps for respective International Olympiads-an opportunity provided to only 35 students across the country. He takes time out during weekends to fulfil his passion for teaching and love for these subjects. He always focuses on the origins and fundamentals of concepts to develop a thorough understanding and appreciation for them. This enables his students to think beyond a rote formula and look for patterns – thereby increasing their sense of abstraction and creativity.

Mohit Verma

Instructor

Mohit is result-driven with 13+ years of rich experience in training on different suites. He has proven ability to provide enriched knowledge, productivity and quality improvement through well-managed workshops, projects & programs adept to the creation of a stimulating learning environment for the students allowing them to develop a passion for maths. Implemented planned course wares in a refreshing and stimulating manner for active participation. He has designed Excel VBA Based Softwares for various schools and corporates. He has also conducted training assessments of 200+ batches in Basic Microsoft Excel and 300+ batched in Advanced Microsoft Excel. Mohit is a University Topper in M.Sc. (Software Engineering) from Punjab University, Patiala.

Rohit Gupta

Instructor

Rohit’s career in education spans to about a decade within national and international curricula as well as educational services. After completing his engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh and MBA from University Business School, Panjab University Chandigarh, which are both among the top 50 institutes of India, he pursued his career in teaching Mathematics to class 11th and 12th students for CBSE and JEE entrance exam. He has about 7 years of teaching experience in Indian curricula and last 3 years in International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). He has successfully completed IB Mathematics Category 1 and Category 2 workshops as per the new curriculum MAA (Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches). Along with this, he is part of the international Mathematics IB teachers community where he has hosted many webinars and addressed new teachers about the methodology, resources, pedagogy, books, use of GDC etc. for IB Mathematics. He always focuses on developing critical thinking among students and helps them to unleash their potential.

Krishnendu Saha

Instructor

Krishnendu is an experienced Mathematics teacher whose career in teaching spans over a decade with national and international curricula. He has been teaching IB Diploma Programme and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) Mathematics for the last 7 years and also coaching students for competitive exams like AMC, CEMC, AP etc. He has successfully completed IB Mathematics Category 1 and Category 2 workshops as per the new curriculum MAA (Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches). Krishnendu is also an IB Examiner and an IA moderator. After completing his university degree in Pure Mathematics, he started teaching in a reputed CBSE school and also mentored students for WBJEE and IIT JEE.

Shreyasi Kundra

Instructor

Shreyasi has completed B.Sc. (Honours) Mathematics post which she pursued Bachelors in Education from Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi. The programme not only exposed her to philosophies of eminent educationists but also gave her an opportunity to incorporate their ideas into the teaching-learning process to make it a robust and holistic experience for learners. As part of this programme, she closely worked with a few private schools of Delhi. She has also completed her M.Sc. in Mathematics Education from Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), University of Delhi. The course was instrumental in widening the scope of math for her as it enabled her to incorporate technology, History, and literature in maths education. The emphasis on mathematical modelling of day to day phenomenon strengthened her passion for mathematics. She also collaborated with the National Council of Education and Training (NCERT) in preparing the content for Grades XI-XII for Applied Mathematics. Shreyasi has been a critical thinker and, hence, tries to teach Maths with the same perspective. She believes that learning becomes more meaningful and joyous when learners become an integral part of their own learning.

Tanvi Hisaria

Instructor

Tanvi is a recent graduate from Columbia University where she majored in Computer Science and minored in Mathematics, and has been inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society for her academic achievement at Columbia. Originally from Mumbai where she attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she will now be working as a Software Engineer at Stripe in New York City. As a former IB student, she took 4 higher levels and 3 standard levels and had a phenomenal score of 52/52. She achieved a superscore of 2380 (out of 2400) in the SAT when she took the exam, with an 800/800 in Reading both times she took the exam. In addition to Computer Science, she is passionate about teaching and has been a Teaching Assistant at Columbia for both the Mathematics and CS departments. She also has teaching experience from volunteer work as well as from her time as an intern at CourseLeap since 2016, for AMC 10/12 courses and also guidance for research work in Extended Essay.

Vedant Bonde

Instructor

Vedant is an incoming Masters student at Saarland University aiming to specialize in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. He completed his B.Tech degree from Cluster Innovation Centre (Delhi), majoring in IT and Mathematics, which motivated him to pursue projects that deeply involved both subjects. In high school, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit in the National Mathematics Olympiads and has been placed in top ranks at various National Mathematics Competitions. He is passionate about teaching Mathematical Concepts and Fundamentals to students and helps them develop the insight and motivation behind the various mathematical theorems and helps them appreciate the beauty of Mathematics.

Amanveer Kaur

Assistant Instructor

Amanveer has completed B.Sc (Honours) Mathematics from Indraprastha College For Women, Delhi University. She holds a major degree in Mathematics and a minor in Economics. She is passionate about Statistics and Economics and has been pursuing Actuarial Science from U.K. Institute of Actuaries. She has cleared the Actuarial Statistics (CS-1 ) exam.The use of Mathematics in Data Sciences has strengthened her to pursue Mathematics. She has worked on Mathematics for SDG-4 (Quality Education) under the UN Millennium Fellowship (2019) awarded to her by The United Nation Academic Impact. She is also the Co-founder of a youth led initiative called SANG: Locking Hunger Down. Her passion for Mathematics helps her relate the daily life with the subject and same is her vision for her students.

Vibhu Sachdeva

Assistant Instructor

Vibhu has done her Master’s in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. She previously graduated with a B.sc with a minor in Economics from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. Vibhu is enthusiastic about teaching and research in Mathematics; her areas of interest include Abstract Algebra, Differential Equations, and Graph Theory. She has done research projects in Number Theory and Algebraic Graph Theory and has also qualified for the national level exams like JAM and GATE.

Kshama Goyal

Assistant Instructor

Kshama is a recent graduate in B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics from Indraprastha College For Women, Delhi University. She holds a Major in Mathematics and a Minor degree in Economics. She was awarded with a certificate of appreciation in the Hindustan Olympiad. Previously, she managed mathematics content development at Quizzy, where she was responsible for creating course related content and helping students upto Grade 12 with problem solving and doubt clarifications. Kshama is passionate about problem-solving & applied mathematics which helped her gain an interest in teaching young students.

Sachin Ramola

Assistant Instructor & Content Developer

Sachin is currently working as Assistant professor mathematics at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Hyderabad. He has completed his Ph.D. in mathematics and M.Sc. Mathematics at the University of Delhi and secured an AIR 82 in the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – Junior Research Fellowship Exam (JRF). Previously, he worked as a Research Fellow in the Scientific Analysis Group of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), New Delhi. Over 3 years of experience in research, Sachin has written many research papers in international journals of repute. His interest and passion towards math research lead him to participate and attend various National and International math conferences. Sachin’s key interest lies in Number Theory, Topology and Algebra. He has also served as a guest lecturer for M Sc. Mathematics in the Department of mathematics at the University of Delhi.

Nandish Vora

Assistant Instructor

Nandish graduated from Bombay International School through the IBDP program in 2019. He is currently a rising third year student at Emory University where he is double majoring in Physics and Applied Mathematics. His achievements include scoring a 42 in the IB curriculum and being featured in Emory University Dean’s Accomplishment List 2021. Nandish’s interests include music, sports, art history and physics research in soft matter experimental physics. He has interned at CourseLeap in the summer of 2020 for Pre-IB Math and Calculus 1, 2 & 3 courses.

Ritwik Manda

Assistant Instructor & Content Developer

Ritwik has graduated with a B.Tech in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations, from Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi. He has achieved an All India Rank (AIR) 5 in his Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). Previously, he has done a Research internship on Number Theory at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. Ritwik has also participated at The First National Conference on Mathematical Education at Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram, in which only selective delegates from different parts of India take part and present papers on Mathematical Education. He has a Specialization in ‘Mathematics for Machine Learning’ by Imperial College London. Ritwik is passionate about number theory, probability, stats and machine learning.

Palak Bansal

Content Developer

Palak has completed her graduation in B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics with a Major in Mathematics and Minor in Economics from Indraprastha College For Women, Delhi University in 2021. She was awarded with a United Nation Academic Impact – Millennium Fellowship in the year 2019. Palak’s interest in mathematics lies in Algebra and Number Theory.

Shatavisa Khanna

Lead Instructor

Shatavisa is a highly qualified mathematics teacher and experienced educational leader who has been working in various parts of Asia and Europe, teaching mathematics at school, college and university level since the past 15 years. She previously worked as a Head of Faculty- Mathematics, Sciences and Economics at the International American School of Warsaw, Poland, Head of Cambridge Programme and Department Chair at The Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Gurgaon, India, IGCSE Coordinator and Head of the Department- Maths at Indus International School, Hyderabad, India and will soon be a part of the very prestigious United World College, Maastricht, the Netherlands.
An Oxford University graduate who completed her Masters education with a specialization in Mathematics and Educational Leadership, she is presently working as a teacher assistant at the Department of Mathematics, Christ Church, University of Oxford.

She is also a member of IBO in the capacity of an IB Consultant, IB School Visit Team Member, Mathematics AA HL Examiner, Mathematics IA Moderator, Mathematics Extended Essay Examiner and Team Lead for the Europe Region. Chrisann Almeida Creado

Chrisann’s aim is to help create best practice programs using research and knowledge gained from psychology and education to develop strategies that promote student centered, inquiry-based learning. She is committed to expand students’ potential through methods that foster creativity and critical thinking skills. Chrisann has extensive classroom experience of more than 11 years teaching Psychology and TOK to IB Students at Jamnabai Narsee school as well as the Dhirubhai Ambani School International School (DAIS) where she headed her subject. She is an IB examiner for the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and Moderator for Internal Assessments (IA) in Psychology and also IB Examiner Paper 3 and writes courses in various schools across India. She has conducted sessions in Psychology and Theory of Knowledge with teachers and students at various schools in India, including Chinmaya International Residency School Coimbatore, Trivandrum International School, Podar International School Mumbai, Singapore International School Mumbai, Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai, Goldcrest International School Vashi. Nick Pillow

Lead Instructor

Nick Pillow is a consultant and teacher based in Mumbai. Originally from the UK, he is now the director of Laughing Pillow LLP, a theatre and English education consultancy, and a graduate of the University of Cambridge where he read English Literature. He has taught English and Drama for almost fifteen years, both in London and, for the last seven years, as head of Performing Arts at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. He has also worked as an IGCSE, Pre-IB and IB English tutor for many years, helping students develop skills and prepare for their exams, both individually and in groups. He has an MTeach from the University of London Institute of Education, specialising in the place of drama in the English classroom; his thesis was on teaching Shakespeare to children who don’t have English as a first language. He also runs a youth acting programme at the Jeff Goldberg Acting Studio in Mumbai.

George Mansur

Lead Instructor

Mr. George Mansur studied Modern Languages at Merton College, Oxford, and obtained a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. (Oxon) at Merton College, Oxford. He is of British nationality but currently lives in Gran Canaria, Spain. After teaching for 20 years at a number of independent schools in the UK, he decided to accept the challenge of working at international schools throughout the world. He was Head of French at The International School of Sotogrande (Spain) and Head of Modern Languages at the British School of Lomé (Togo) in West Africa. He was also Head of French at the International School of Brunei, Teacher of IB Spanish at Luanda International School (Angola) and Head of Modern Languages at the British International School of Cairo. After teaching IGCSE French at Doha Montessori British School in Qatar, he joined Dhirubhai Ambani International School, where he taught French and Spanish to IB and IGCSE from 2010-2019. Mr Mansur was also an examiner and moderator in French B for the International Baccalaureate (Speaking Exam) for ten years. He is fluent in both French and Spanish and has taught both languages successfully to IGCSE, ab initio and language B (Standard and Higher levels). Besides being an experienced teacher, he believes that a patient, enthusiastic and creative approach to foreign language learning can best motivate students of a second language.

Dr. Kanchi Das

Lead Instructor

Dr. Kanchi Das has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and assessing IB, IGCSE and the Common Core curricula. She has a PhD in English Literature and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Das leads a 16-member English Department at Dubai International Academy- one of the premier schools in Dubai- and her department has been consistently rated Outstanding by the The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai. This rating is based on the quality of curriculum planning, bespoke and differentiated planning and delivery of lessons, progress and attainment of students and the MYP and DP results. Her role as an appraiser and pedagogical leader have also led her to mentor, coach and develop excellent practice across her school as well as in the sister schools. She is also a member of Harvard’s Principal’s Network and participates in different webinars on Innovation and Equity in Education. Before joining DIA, Dr. Das was the Coordinator for English Language for Grades 8-12 at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She is an IB English Higher Level Examiner for Paper 2 and IA. She also supervises EEs and is an IB examiner for the same. Dr. Das is upskilled and experienced with the latest changes in the IB English syllabus from the year 2019 and has mapped the new curriculum and assessments for her school. Additionally, she creates DP taster lessons for Year 10 graduates that introduces and prepares them for all aspects of the course.

Rachel Heller

Lead Instructor

Rachel has many years of experience as an educator, first in Malawi, where she served in the Peace Corps as a teacher, then in the US, where she grew up, and then in the Netherlands, where she now lives. In her 12 years at the International School Groningen, in the Netherlands, she taught MYP Humanities and English A at first, and served as Personal Project Coordinator. When Rachel moved to the IBDP, she taught English A Language and Literature and Theory of Knowledge as well as serving as the school’s Further Education Advisor. Later, she took a new position at NHLStenden University of Applied Sciences as a teacher-trainer, mostly teaching literature and American Studies courses to trainee English teachers. Rachel is up to date on the latest course for both English A Language and Literature and TOK and is an IBDP examiner for English A Language and Literature. In the last seven years, she has led, at last count, 17 IBDP teacher workshops in TOK and 12 in Language and Literature.

She has a B.A. in History from Yale University, an MA in Education (Secondary Education) from San Francisco State University, and a B.Ed and an M.Ed. from NHLStenden University of Applied Sciences.

Roohi Sayed

Lead Instructor

Roohi brings a strong and creative background with her experience as an English teacher and curriculum designer. She has been working with Checkpoint, IGCSE and IBMYP, IBDP curricula for over 6 years and has been an examiner for IBDP English Higher Level for over 4 years. Her primary interests lie in vertically aligned curriculum design and creating interactive twenty first century classrooms to support critical thinking skills. She has been instrumental in creating a continuum in curricula for IGCSE, IBMYP and IBDP with Podar International School, Ecole Mondiale World School, Ascend International School among others. A Masters Hons. degree in English Literature has inculcated not only a lifelong passion for reading, but also a continued interest in student centered teaching and learning practices. She continues working with schools as a consultant to promote strategies for inquiry and concept based learning models in sync with various assessment methodology. Her goal is to foster a love for language through providing a collaborative space for verbal and written expression.

Aryaman Murdeshwar

Aryaman is a IBDP (Math – AA HL) graduate from the American School Bombay (2022). He is a CourseLeap alumni for Pre-IB courses and Full year personalized Math tutorials. He has been a Speech and Debate India Regional and National Winner in 2020 and a Stanford University Debate Tournament 2021 Finalist. He is pursuing his further studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. At CourseLeap, he was the Peer Mentor for Pre-IB Math course (2022).

Agastya Bahl

Agastya is an IB Math Student (Analysis and Approaches HL) at Hill Spring International School, Mumbai. He has won a Gold Certificate at “ABWA Infinity 2022” and plays the keyboard – completed Trinity grade 8. Agastya is interested in algorithms and coding and is also passionate about Artificial Intelligence. At CourseLeap, he served as the Peer Mentor for Pre-IB Math course (2022).

Neel Maheshwari

Neel has been an IBDP (Math AA HL) student at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. He graduated with a perfect score of 45/45 with a 7 in Math. His achievements include qualifying in the top 5 percentile for American Mathematics Competition (AMC-12) and further qualifying for the AIME. He has also secured a distinction in Fermat, Hypatia and Euclid (competitive exams conducted by the University of Waterloo). Apart from his love for Mathematics, Neel’s interests also lie in Theatre and Japanese History.

Arjun Pawar

Arjun Pawar graduated with the IB Diploma (45/45 points) in 2021 and is a student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is currently pursuing a Mathematics-with -Computer Science combination at university. In his high school journey, he qualified for the AIME after securing the top 5 percentile in the AMC 12. He also secured the distinction award in Fermat – an exam conducted by the University of Waterloo.

Apart from Math, he is deeply interested in the linguistics surrounding South-Asian Languages such as Urdu & Hindi. In connection to this, he was chosen as the Student Speaker for a TEDx event where he spoke about the connections between learning Mathematics and learning languages.

His varied interests in Math as well as the applications of it in other areas motivated him to work as Peer Mentor and Teaching Assistant for various courses at CourseLeap such as AMC 10 & 12 (2020), Math: Art of Problem Solving (2020), AP-Calculus (development), Data Analytics Course (2020), Heritage International Xperiential School IGCSE Bridge (2021) & Pre-IB Math (2021).

Varshika Prasanna

Varshika is currently studying Math & Data Science at New York University (NYU). She has been accepted to the Presidential Honours Scholars Program at NYU. Varshika was a former student at Dhirubhai Ambani International School and was previously enrolled with Courseleap for Pre-IB Math in 2018 and AMC contest prep in 2018-19. She received the top school rank for AMC 12A and a distinction in FERMAT. Her passion for maths led her to teaching through an internship at CourseLeap in the summer break for Pre-IB Math. She further worked as a co-instructor for Data Analytics with MS Excel and was able to impart her love for math to young and eager students. Varshika has been associated with CourseLeap since 2018 as a student, peer mentor and support instructor. Her journey at CourseLeap has helped her to engage with and inspire students to learn more effectively.

Dhrumee Shah

Drumee was a former student at Jamnabai Narsee International School and is currently majoring in Politics and Math at Pomona College. At college she’s taken several math classes including Calc III- Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probabilty. On campus she is also involved in several activities such as the mock trial team, being a teaching assistant for math classes and being a student representative for the politics department. At CourseLeap, she was our student for Pre-IB Math, Pre-IB Core, Exam Prep course, AMC 12 and full year Higher Level (HL) Math Tutorials. Her passion for math led her to become a Peer Mentor for Pre-IB Math and AMC and a Support Instructor for the Pre-University Multivariable Calculus course in 2019 – 2020.

Claire Kaneshiro

Claire is a recent graduate from the International School of Indiana with an IB Diploma. Her subjects included Physics and Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches), where she was the school’s top-performing student in maths. She led the Model United Nations and Maths Club, throughout her school years and won the IUPUI team math competition along with succeeding as the school’s top scorer in the ASMA (American Scholastic Mathematics Association) High School Competition. Claire will be joining Princeton University in the fall of 2021, where she plans on studying mathematics, with a minor in Chinese.
