International Math Olympiads
International Math Olympiads serve as a platform that helps students identify their talents and potentially achieve a standing at a national as well as an international level. It provides them with an opportunity to master their concepts and understand complex problems effectively. This, in turn, helps them develop their critical and analytical thinking.
The personalised program is best suited for students who want to explore their interest, ability and gain confidence to begin their preparation for Asian Math Olympiads. It will help them develop a thorough understanding of math concepts required to succeed in these contests, while introducing them to necessary topics that frequently emerge in Asian Math Olympiads.
We offer courses that prepare students for the following Asian Math Olympiads:
- Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO)
- Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO)
- Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad (TIMO)
- Singapore & Asian School Mathematics Olympiad (SASMO)
HKIMO & TIMO follows a topic wise open added question format which allows students to explore their reasoning skills. Students who secure Gold/Silver/Bronze Awards are eligible to register for finals being held in a different country. Qualifying both the exams provide a unique opportunity for students to participate in the World Mathematics Competition.
SEAMO is a unique assessment platform originating from Singapore that places strong emphasis on creative and inventive thinking as opposed to technical math skills, and students get the opportunity to compete against the brightest minds from 20 different countries. Students among the top 40% in SEAMO can register for SEAMO-X & have the opportunity to represent their school & country.
SASMO is one of the largest math contests in Asia. The SASMO contests are designed to push students to reach their untapped thinking potential by setting realistic and high standards. These contests have a strong emphasis on non-routine problem solving and seamlessly integrate with school curriculum. Students who achieve Gold, Silver, or Bronze in SAAMO are eligible to participate in SIMOC.
Who is it for?
Note: Qualification parameters for AIME have been modified in the year 2022. According to the new criteria, the AIME floor has been set to a higher percentage of scores that would allow a consistent number of AIME qualifiers, rather than a fixed percentage. AMC 10/ AMC 12 students who have achieved the set score value or higher qualify for the AIME.
