Course Overview

The American Math Competition (AMC) is the first of a series of contests in high school mathematics for the USA that determines each country’s best students and serves as the first stage of the international math olympiad. Conducted by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), this exam is taken by thousands of students worldwide and tests their critical thinking, problem-solving and computational skills while providing a gateway to students wishing to pursue STEM courses in the future.

AMC 12 provides an opportunity for students in Grades 10-12 to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers, while also equipping them with the skills and abilities needed to successfully approach the final AMC 12 contests.

The Canvas platform is easy to access and the test interface is smooth. There were ample mock tests and concept videos uploaded, which were clearly segregated into their respective topics. Overall, I found it very helpful. The course helped solidify concepts that I had already learnt, and introduced me to new concepts required for AMC 12. The doubt sessions were helpful and enjoyable. Using various methods to solve one question was pretty interesting

The lead instructors are all very knowledgeable and clear on the amc pattern and math strategies. The modules questions were a mix of difficulty which was quite good. It would have been better if solutions were provided in the homeworks as well but all in all, with the interactive sessions and clear doubt clarification process, I was able to improve a lot in a very short period of time.
