Course Overview
The American Math Competition (AMC) is the first of a series of contests in high school mathematics for the USA that determines each country’s best students and serves as the first stage of the international math olympiad. Conducted by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), this exam is taken by thousands of students worldwide and tests their critical thinking, problem-solving and computational skills while providing a gateway to students wishing to pursue STEM courses in the future.
AMC 8: The purpose of this course and contest includes covering the broad range of topics available for the middle school mathematics curriculum. It has the potential to increase the ability for problem solving activities in the mathematics curriculum.

Introduction to Math Olympiads: The course aims to introduce students to necessary topics that frequently emerge in international math olympiads. This will help prepare students for the topics they will typically face in an Olympiad-style event, but also for future college mathematics courses. It will also supplement students with mathematical knowledge and understanding for AMC 10 & AMC 12.
AMC-10 & AMC- 12: These courses provide an opportunity for 9th- 12th graders to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers, while also equipping them with the skills and abilities needed to successfully approach the final AMC 10 & 12 contests.
AIME : After the successful completion of our AMC 10 and AMC 12 courses, CourseLeap further empowers students in their learning of advanced math concepts and prepares them for the next advanced level of international math olympiad. The AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination) is an intermediate examination between the AMC 10 or AMC 12 and the USAMO (United States of America Mathematical Olympiad). The course is intended as an extension to the AMC Preparation Course offered at CourseLeap. It focuses on in-depth understanding of all topics so that they are prepared for the AIME examination.

Our AMC courses follow a module-based approach that will cover each topic area included in this exam and introduce students to relevant theory, practice problems, homework, and regular mock tests. It will involve covering nuanced and exam-specific problem-solving strategies and methods to increase speed and accuracy with teaching, as well as testing being conducted simultaneously in the form of rigorous practice past test papers followed by doubt sessions.

Note: Qualification parameters for AIME have been modified in the year 2022. According to the new criteria, the AIME floor has been set to a higher percentage of scores that would allow a consistent number of AIME qualifiers, rather than a fixed percentage. AMC 10/ AMC 12 students who have achieved the set score value or higher qualify for the AIME.
