Course Concept
The IGCSE Spanish course is designed for students who are starting studying the language in Year 8 or 9 and have some previous experience learning the language.
The aim is to improve student’s ability to use the target language in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
During the course, students will also understand the requirements to achieve the highest marks at the different IGCSE components.
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world in terms of native speakers and the third most used on the internet. This course also aims to offer insights into the culture of countries where Spanish is spoken.
Each day new vocabulary and grammar will be taught, practised and assessed through a written, spoken task or interactive quiz.

Elena Gallego is a native Spanish teacher with 12 years experience teaching in British and International Schools. She has experience teaching Spanish IGCSE (cambridge/AQA/Edexcel) as well as MYP and IB in countries such as China, Malaysia, Tanzania, United Kingdom or Switzerland. She is passionate about instilling a love for learning, while building confidence in and for the Spanish language.
