Maths Mastery at CourseLeap: From Passion to Progress
- June 12, 2022

Excellence Envisioned with CourseLeap Math (CLM):
CourseLeap’s powerful vision statement as formulated by our Founder, Mrs. Dhingra, stands strong: “Our vision is to empower students and academic institutions to achieve excellence through the application of strong academic principles and practices within various international curricula. Our vastly experienced faculty delivers resourceful and contextualised content, valuable skills, and evokes a holistic learning process.”
CourseLeap – Tutoring and IB Preparation:
The CourseLeap approach to academic decision-making revolves around students’ futures with a heavy emphasis on the value of time. It is with this regard that CourseLeap offers immersive summer courses to make use of every opportunity for students to grow. As Malcolm Gladwell stated “Practice isn’t the thing you do once you’re good. It’s the thing you do that makes you good”. At CourseLeap we support this focus on progress with multiple online (and formerly offline) educational solutions classified into two categories: the Students Vertical (CourseLeap Math) and the Institutional Vertical (CourseLeap Consult). These courses include International Baccalaureate (IB), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A Level, International Mathematics Competition Preparation, High School Accelerator (including Revision Courses) and Pre University Courses. It is worth noting that Mathematics, whether paired with Data Science or Philosophy, is a powerful subject to focus on.
How CourseLeap Cultivates Mathematical Thinking :
Many students who studied at CourseLeap have worked here as well, interning in the roles of Peer Mentor, Support Instructor or Teaching Assistant to a tutor. Most have focused on Mathematics as not only a subject, but a treasure trove of knowledge and learning. Many attribute this elevated relationship with mathematics to the integral role that CourseLeap tuitions played in their academic journey. Mathematics as a subject motivates and inspires students through fictional and non-fictional works that demonstrate the boundless applications of mathematical thought. Mathematics also translates into real life for many students at university, where professors and guest lecturers at prestigious institutions are legendary academics in multiple STEM fields, especially Mathematics, and students therefore gain the opportunity to see these learnings come to life.
Persistence and Personal Engagement with Mathematics:
CourseLeap, specifically CourseLeap Math, emphasises the importance of academic excellence. Each year, high school and even competitive middle school students take Mathematics (and other subject-related) preparation courses at CourseLeap. They dedicate a significant amount of time to achieve proficiency in Statistics, IB Maths and conquer prestigious mathematical competitions such as the AMC and AIME. Consistently improving performances have consolidated our faith in the CourseLeap Peer Mentoring system, where exemplary alumni of CourseLeap become mentors that inspire other students to carve a place for themselves in the field of Mathematics. CourseLeap’s combination of self-learning and top-notch education highlights the importance of ‘figuring out’ and understanding mathematical problems on one’s own. This approach results in the retention of relevant techniques. These are ‘Eureka moments’ – an apple falling on one’s head does not guarantee an instant understanding of gravity, but the promise of discovery and learning over time.
