The Summer before IBDP started, the prospect of studying Math HL in the IB scared me. Even though the initial weeks of school, I often felt anxious and confused. I wasn’t sure if I liked Math and I wasn’t sure if I was good enough at it. However, it was in spending time with Mrs. Dhingra through her personalised tutorial hours that my thought process changed completely. The clarity she explained concepts with, the constant work, the diverse range of questions and the consistent encouragement changed not only how confident I was but the way I viewed math itself. Mrs. Dhingra made Math HL feel like a breeze and moreover made me fall in love with math. So much so that today I am a Politics and Math major at Pomona College. I have been studying math at courseleap since 8 months now. I started off with a mid-summer IB course in Year 12, this helped me to clear my concepts and make my basics stronger, which would help me to do well in Year 12. In these past months have I not only learnt a lot about mathematics but at the same time I have learnt different problem learning skills, reflecting strategies on how to think back and check if the answer is correct. It has also taught me how to time manage myself. All in all it’s been a great learning experience. I am currently working to achieve the top grade.

The sessions with Ms Dhingra were essential for my successful attempt at math HL in the IB programme. The comprehensive, in detailed classes allowed me to comprehend each topic in its entirety and also allowed me to appreciate the practical application of each concept. Moreover, the abundant resources at Ms Dhingra’s disposal encouraged me to regularly practice complex problems and hence be in the best possible place to tackle the math HL paper. The personal attention received during every class is something very rare and is extremely important for fruitful learning. Hence, I believe Ms Dhingra’s classes have been very beneficial for me and I feel that she has helped fuel my passion for math even further.

Mrs Dhingra taught my son, Vikram and daughter Madhavi during the summer of 2017. Vikram is a Higher Level IB Math student of Year 12 at Institut International de Lancy, Geneva and Vikram did Mid- IB Summer Course for IB Higher Level Math. Madhavi completed her IB and is now a student of medicine at University of Geneva and she did Further Math Summer Course of Statistics with Mrs Dhingra in the summer of 2017.

Her tutelage helped my children at many levels. It built their fundamental understanding of math, taught them to think and apply themselves and overall increased their confidence in the subject dramatically.  In a very short time both my children learnt a range of things to help improve their performance drastically.
