The IB Diploma core and predicted grades are integral to the IB experience, fostering academic excellence, personal growth, and preparedness for future challenges. While the core cultivates critical skills and values, predicted grades serve as a steppingstone to university and beyond.
Advanced Placement or AP courses were designed by College Board, an American not-for-profit organization, to help ambitious students all over the world acquire advanced skills, gain college-level experience and fast-track their journey to their ideal universities.
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a core part of the IB’s Diploma Programme and is taught over the course of two years. The programme encourages students to think critically about the nature of knowledge itself and explore ways of knowing. Students examine and challenge their own inbuilt framework of knowledge and beliefs in order to develop self-awareness, recognise biases and widen their perspectives. The TOK programme achieves this through two key assessments: the TOK Exhibition and the TOK Essay.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is renowned for its unique approaches to learning and teaching, focusing on the development of transferable skills and attributes. These include critical thinking, international-mindedness, creativity, agency, and resilience, which equip IB students for lifelong success.
Revision is at the top of my list of favourite things to do” said no one ever. Preparing for exams is indeed a daunting task for students, and the idea of revision can seem like a true nightmare. However, with exam season slowly approaching, students ideally should be engaged in a regular revision schedule with well-organised study materials and classroom notes. Unfortunately, many students procrastinate and put off revision until the last minute, making it impossible to master their subject material and reach their full potential.
On 23rd July, 2020, CourseLeap organised yet another fascinating virtual event, a webinar session called How To Get to the Top, featuring panelists who were distinguished students at the foremost International Baccalaureate (IB) schools and institutions across India and alumni of CourseLeap.
On 14th August 2021, at 5:00 pm IST, CourseLeap organized a unique and impactful webinar – How to Excel in Mathematics: High School, University and Careers. Mrs. Yogesh Dhingra, the founder of CourseLeap, initiated the session by explaining how, for a 21st – century learner, mathematics is more relevant than ever before : be it in the fields of statistics, applied math, numerical analysis or computing to begin with.
On Saturday, 9th April 2022, CourseLeap hosted a dynamic information session for students and parents called the Getting to the Top: Headstart for the IB Diploma Programme. This event was geared towards guiding and informing them about CourseLeap’s flagship course offerings: Pre-IB courses for students entering Grade 11 IB Diploma Programme.
To help students gain a better understanding of what their subject choices should be and where their aptitude lies, CourseLeap has designed Pre-IB courses for multiple IBDP subjects that are held over the summer before Grade 11. Most students have never taken Economics as a subject in the ICSE, IGCSE or MYP and might be nervous or unaware of how to pursue it in the IBDP at the Higher or Standard Level.
