Revision is at the top of my list of favourite things to do” said no one ever. Preparing for exams is indeed a daunting task for students, and the idea of revision can seem like a true nightmare. However, with exam season slowly approaching, students ideally should be engaged in a regular revision schedule with well-organised study materials and classroom notes. Unfortunately, many students procrastinate and put off revision until the last minute, making it impossible to master their subject material and reach their full potential.
Are you a high school student, or are you about to begin high school? If yes, it’s important to know that Advanced Placement (AP) Courses are essential when looking for that extra college credit.
Students studying IGCSE, IB, A-levels and any other national curriculum (ICSE, ISC, CBSE, etc) can sign up for these courses and give the final AP exams. However, before you decide to take an AP class for any subject, there are a few things you must know.
A STEM curriculum introduces students to science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts and can be taught using a cross-curricular method, such as combining robotics and mathematics.
Whether you’re a Math student undertaking your IGCSE or a Computer Science student completing the IB, anyone pursuing either of such core subjects is a part of the STEM community.

There are a variety of demands for Mathematics in the modern world. Maths courses are now more relevant than ever before to the 21st century learner, and they prepare students for their futures. Many jobs now call for competence in statistics, computing, numerical analysis and in applied mathematics. The development of science and technology makes new demands on mathematics for assistance. Critical thinking and problem solving are not just the features of mathematics but have become the catchwords and responsibility therefore of all the academic disciplines.
To help students gain a better understanding of what their subject choices should be and where their aptitude lies, CourseLeap has designed Pre-IB courses for multiple IBDP subjects that are held over the summer before Grade 11. Most students have never taken Economics as a subject in the ICSE, IGCSE or MYP and might be nervous or unaware of how to pursue it in the IBDP at the Higher or Standard Level.
